Who doesn’t love a birthday that lasts 15 days? First, a day of yeses and birthday dinner on her actual birthday, then an overnight girl’s trip to the American Girl store in Lynnwood, followed by an evening out with her cousin to Cats the musical (thanks YaYa) and then a slumber party with 6 of her besties. Clara (like her mom), loves to make lists and had the entire evening/morning all planned and written out in point form: craft, pizza, dance party, birthday cake, games, movie, make sundaes, truth or dare, more games, talking, sleeping, waffles “made by scratch,” more games, piñata, home.
What I overlooked was how incredibly noisy and hyper 7 girls can be and how early they still wake up despite going to bed in the ones. I’m still recovering! By all accounts, however, it was a fun time. I like to tell myself it is all about the memory making.
(surprisingly, I didn’t take that many pictures, but I do have a few…)
